Cast: Imaginary Window - Rating: ****

First a quick story! I have been reading about Cast for a while but have been unable to order their music through the record stores. So I went to the web page and found that the distributor is the brother of the keyboard player, and he lives in my home town of Tempe, Arizona. After a couple of phone calls, we hooked up and I bought the brand new release, which I am reviewing, and Beyond Reality. He was all out of Angels and Demons. This has to be one of the most beautifully written, produced, and recorded albums I have ever heard. These guys create incredible Prog like the old masters! The flute is great and all the musicians are very gifted. This is there latest release so I think they have worked on the production issues I have heard about in the earlier music. I also listened to Beyond Reality, which also phenomenal! But that is for another review. Anybody who is into old Genesis, old Marillion, and all of IQ, I highly recommend this album. This is true Symphonic/Progressive music at it's best! Rich in melody and intricate in structure. The keys are rich and lush, Hacket/Holmes style guitar, and fast consice drumming. Again, the flute is the finishing touch. Get this and ENJOY!
